The Gift Of Life

We have been waiting for a very long time for my Dad to get a Kidney so that he can start feeling better. Their have been many ups and many downs on this rollercoaster. B was a perfect match but they would not let him do it. We were broken. My brother in law went in and got tested and has been found to be a perfect match! What are the chances?! This is amazing. I am so thankful for him and the kind heart that he has, and don't let me forget to mention the healthy kidney he has. I am very nervous to have two of the most important men in my life under the knife at the same time, but very excited for the new quality of life that this will give my Dad. So Thank you Cal for being the man that you are. For the blessing you are to Whit, to me, and to the entire family. Thank you for giving a part of you to get us some more time with Dad.

A Happy And Thankful Turkey Day

Talk about having ALOT to be thankfull for. It has been quite the holiday season already. We have spent the past couple of days in the hospital with my amazing dad. When I think of him I have endless thoughts and emotions run through me. I could not be more thankfull for him, and for all that he means to me. He is a wonderful example of a loving Father, Husband/Companion, and Friend. He has so much strenth, love, compassion, and patience. I could never of asked for better, because he is so much more than I could have even wished for.

We have put Thanksgiving on hold for a couple days so that we can enjoy it as a family. Which was the only reason the holidays mean anything to me.....FAMILY. I am not a huge holiday fan, but am learning to appreciate it more for the little things. I had a conversation with my dad yesterday while I was sitting with him that I will forever hold dear in my heart. It was just what I needed to snap me out of my bad attitude about the holidays. His advice to me was don't worry about the hustle and the bustle that people create, instead soak up the cheer, the smells, the sounds, and the feelings. It only takes a fiew words for him to make an impact on me...well sometimes no words just a look ha ha. But I wanted to share that with everyone. So that maybe you too can remember the little things that make the holidays what they really are. The sights, smells, sounds, feelings, music, tastes, calmness, warmth, traditions, and most importantly family.

A day for new court shoes

Today is the day! The day our little Ada Girl is sworn in. We have waited 6 whole months for this day to arrive, and it is here. We all met at the court house so that we could be present. Ada looked so cute. My mom got her some new shoes. We like to call them her court shoes. We sang her the new shoes song and she loved it. It was a little nerve wracking even though it was a done deal. They locked us all in the room, and proceeded with the agenda. Cal and Whit had to answer some questions and then say a little about what it has ment to be parents. They did a wonderful job. I cried like a baby through the whole thing. After it was all said and done we had a couple minutes to get pictures taken then it was off to get the paper work. Three taps of the court shoes and she was official! Welcome little baby girl. You have been a blessing and a complete joy to have around. Love you so much!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

My Grandma celebrated her 82 birthday this year. Well I guess I should say we all celebrated it with her. She is single handedly the most amazing women I know next to my mom and my sisters! I love her and look up to her so very much. I don't even know what life would be like without her, nor do I want to know. She had decided for her birthday she wanted to have a Bar-B-Que in her back yard on the patio. We had Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and everything else you could think of. It was a fun dinner. We celebrated with home made Vanilla Icecream and the all so famous Pepsi Cake (it always reminds me of grandmas retirement party, its a family favorite) It was all in all a great party, good food, great fun, an even better company.

Here She is getting ready to blow out her candles and make a wish.

Isn't she the cutest grandma ever!

Happy Birthday Grandma! I love you!

Happy Auddie Day!

On Saturday morning my dear sweet cousin Connor had the priveledge of going through the Temple in preperation of leaving on his mission next month. I am so proud of him and was sad that I was unable to be there for him. I did have a plus side! I got a happy auddie day. That is what Cal calls it to Ada when she gets to come hang out with one of us. And it was my turn this time. Yay!! Ada arrived early in the morning. Upon arrival I got the run down from Whit on what her schedule looked like for the rest of the morning. We only had one scheduled feeding and two little naps and I got to fill in the rest of the time with whatever I decided to. We played and laughed and hung out. She is so much fun and so darling. I could just eat her up. She fell asleep for a little while and I had to just watch her sleep. She make the cutest sounds, and gets in the cutest positions while sleeping. When she woke up she was so happy! I mean she woke up with a smile on her face, full of energy and ready to play.
After her nap we went for a walk with Brodie around the block a couple times. It was a really nice morning. The sun was out but it was the perfect temperature. Brodie would walk in front of us and on the side of us, Ada kept her eyes glued to him as he ran all over the place.

All in all the day was a total success. Although I think her naps could have been a little longer for her sake. I was so happy that I was able to spend the morning with her and enjoy all the little things that she does, and that makes her the adorable Ada girl I love. Thanks to Whit and Cal for sharing her with me for the morning. And a big huge congratulations to Connor Decon Mooney!!! Love you all.

Kristi and Chads Wedding

I had the privilege of doing the flowers for my friend Kristi for her wedding. I was so very excited about it because she chose awesome flowers and her colors were really cute. Yellow, blue and white. lots of white. They turned out really pretty. I only got a picture of one of the small center pieces and the bride boquet which made me really sad. But here they are.

The brides maides bouquets were made out of Blue Hydrangeas. They were really round and simple. The large center peices looked like the small one shown above but had alot of blue accents added into it and was about four times that size. They were in awesome blue pots. Kristi made for a beautiful bride and I was happy to be apart of her wedding coordination group.
